Scholarship 1: 2026 Martingale Scholarships UK
The Martingale Foundation is offering master's and PhDs in the mathematical sciences, artificial intelligence, data science, engineering, and biomedical research.
Scholarship Benefits:

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible, you must:
Have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a First or Upper-Second Class (or equivalent) in your most recent taught degree in a relevant subject.
Be eligible to commence a Master’s or PhD degree at a UK university from September 2026.
Qualify for Home Fee status at our partner universities.
Have been to school in the UK or Ireland for at least three years between the ages of 11 and 18; or if not, for at least seven years between the ages of 4 and 18.
Have completed your GCSEs or equivalent at a state-funded school, or received a scholarship or bursary covering at least 90% of fees to attend a fee-paying school or college.
Have faced or are facing financial barriers, including having a household income of £45,000 or under.
Application window: August 13 to October 19, 2025.
Scholarship 2: Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) 2026
400 PhD Fellowships will be awarded in the 2026/27 academic year
The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) aims to attract the best and brightest students in the world to pursue their PhD studies in Hong Kong's universities.
Scholarship Benefits
an annual stipend of HK$340,800 (approximately US$43,690) and
a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$14,200 (approximately US$1,820), per year for each awardee for a period up to three years.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are seeking admission as new full-time PhD students in the UGC-funded universities, irrespective of their country of origin, prior work experience, and ethnic background, should be eligible to apply.
Applicants should demonstrate outstanding qualities of academic performance, research ability/potential, communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities.
Selection Criteria
The Selection Panels will take into account factors as follows:
Academic excellence, primary consideration
Research ability and potential;
Communication and interpersonal skills; and
Leadership abilities.
Application Deadline: 1st December 2025.
