Quick question: have you heard of Erasmus Mundus?
It’s one of the best-kept secrets in scholarship hunting. Here’s why I love it.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programs let you study in at least 2 European countries during your master’s degree. You could complete Year 1 in Spain and Year 2 in Sweden. Or Year 1 in France, Year 2 in Germany.
You get degrees from both universities.
What it covers:
Full tuition
Monthly living allowance (€1,400/month)
Travel costs
Visa fees
Health insurance
When it opens: Most programs open applications between October 2025 and January 2026 for a September 2026 start. Some are already open now.
Who can apply: Any field. I’ve seen programs in Public Health, Data Science, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Agricultural Economics, you name it.
The catch? You need to pick your specific program carefully. There are more than 100 Erasmus Mundus programs, each with its own focus and partner universities.
That’s where most people get stuck. They don’t know which one fits their background.
