Scholarship 1: McCall MacBain Scholarship at McGill University in Canada, 2025
McCall MacBain Scholarship is a fully funded master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University while participating in an interdisciplinary leadership program. It provides mentorship, multidisciplinary learning, and a global community to support scholars’ impact on the world.
Qualities Sought in Applicants

Entrepreneurial spirit
Academic strength and intellectual curiosity
Scholarship Benefits
Tuition and fees for the full normal duration of the master’s or professional program
A living stipend of $2,300 per month during academic terms
A one-time relocation grant for moving to Montréal
Beginner to advanced French language courses offered through McGill
Scholars not pursuing an academic term during the summer may apply for up to $5,000 to pursue meaningful summer initiatives.
Eligible Degrees
Master’s degree at McGill University: More than 150 fields of study across the following degree types: MA (Arts), MArch (Architecture), MATL (Arts in Teaching and Learning), MBA (Business Administration), MEd (Education), MEng (Engineering), MISt (Information Studies), MM (Management Analytics, Finance, Retail), MMus (Music), MPP (Public Policy), MSc (Science), MScA (Science, Applied), MScAPT (Science, Applied in Physical Therapy), MScAOT (Science, Applied in Occupational Therapy), MSW (Social Work), MUP (Urban Planning), LLM (Law), STM (Sacred Theology).
Second-entry professional undergraduate program: BCL/JD (Law), DMD (Dentistry), MDCM (Medicine)
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the 2026 cohort, applicants must meet one of the following:
Be a current student on track to earn a first bachelor’s degree by August 2026
Have earned a first bachelor’s degree on or after January 2020
Have earned a first bachelor’s degree before January 2020, and been 30 years old or younger as of January 1, 2025
Additional Requirement:
Meet the minimum degree and language requirements (IELTS/TOEFL) for McGill’s graduate program admission.

Scholarship 2: The UK Chevening Scholarship 2026 (for Master’s)
Chevening Scholarships and Fellowships are awarded to people who are:
Passionate about creating lasting change in their local communities and beyond
Open to collaborating across borders to achieve greater impact
Committed to growing their networks and field of influence
Benefits

Chevening Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship, you must:
Be passionate about creating lasting positive change and a realistic career plan for achieving it.
Have lots of examples of your leadership and influencing skills.
Have at least two years of work experience (2,800 hours), acquired after the completion of your undergraduate degree.
Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
Commit to returning to the country of citizenship from which you applied for at least two years after your scholarship ends.
Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master’s programme.
Have not studied in the UK previously with a UK government-funded scholarship.
Apply to three different and eligible UK university courses. If you are conditionally selected for a Chevening Scholarship, you must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by the deadline provided. I recommend applying to UK universities as soon as possible.
Work Experience Requirement
Before applying for a Chevening Scholarship, you need at least two years (2,800 hours) of work experience. This can include:
Full-time employment
Part-time employment
Voluntary work
Paid or unpaid internships
Experience gained during mandatory employment for your degree does not count. You can combine up to fifteen different work periods to meet the requirement.
Application Process
Step 1 - Check your eligibility
Step 2 - Choose three UK master’s degree courses
Step 3 - Prepare your references and education documents
Step 4 - Submit your online application
Step 5 - Wait for an interview invitation
Step 6 - Secure an unconditional offer from a UK university
Documents Required
If you progress to the interview stage, you will need to upload the following documents to the online application system:
Two reference letters written by your nominated referees in English (or with notarised translation).
Your undergraduate degree certificate. This must be an official document from your university proving your degree and grade. We require the original documents, which do not need to be translated into English.
Additional Tips
Chevening is very competitive. Applicants invited to interview will have lots of evidence of
Leadership and influencing skills.
The ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
A realistic and achievable career plan for creating lasting positive change.
Research into how a UK government-funded scholarship will help you achieve your goals.
